Russian authorities will allocate about 44 bln rubles ($728.6 mln) to expand production of aircraft engines for the entire line of civilian and military transport airplanes, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Monday.
"We will expand production of aircraft engines for the entire line of domestic civilian and, accordingly, military transport airplanes. The United Engine Corporation will be able to use more than 44 bln rubles of federal funds for these goals," the Prime Minister said.
The industry has absolutely clear tasks set in this sphere, Mishustin noted. There is a need to provide the output of about fifty PD-8 engines for Superjet airliners, twenty PS-90 engines for Tu-214 passenger jets, and fourteen PD-14 engines designed for the MC-21 aircraft, the Prime Minister added.
