According to preliminary data, Russian airlines carried 80 mln passengers in January - October 2022, Deputy Transport Minister Igor Chalik told reporters on Monday.

"Net of today, 80 mln passengers were carried until October 30, including 66 mln on domestic lines and 14 mln on international lines," the official said.

Russian air carriers transported 94.6 mln passengers over the like period of the last year.

The 2022 forecast of 100 mln passengers remain current, Chalik noted. "We are looking forward [to carrying 100 mln passengers by the year-end] - the school break is now, followed by transportation before the New Year," he added.
