Progress MS-19 is dumped in Pacific Ocean

The Progress MS-19 cargo spacecraft has been dumped in an unnavigated area of the Pacific after undocking from the International Space Station on Monday, Roscosmos said on Monday.

"The Progress MS-19 cargo spacecraft has been removed from orbit, entered into the Earth’s atmosphere and underwent destruction. The parts of its frame that haven’t burned up fell in an unnavigated area of southern Pacific," the company said in a statement.

The Progress MS-19 vacated the docking unit for the next spacecraft that’s scheduled for launch on October 26.

Roscosmos earlier said the Progress MS-19 would take away trash and equipment that’s past its lifespan from the ISS.
