The Northern Capital Gateway, the company that operates Pulkovo Airport, reports on the results of its work for the summer months of 2021.
For the period from June 1 to August 31, 2021, Pulkovo Airport served more than 6 million passengers, which is 6% less than in the same period in 2019.
At the same time, 5.2 million passengers were served on domestic flights (+ 42% over the summer period of 2019). The most popular summer destinations in Russia are Moscow, Sochi, Simferopol, Kaliningrad, Anapa, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Arkhangelsk and Kazan.
More than 0.8 million passengers were served on international routes, which is 70% by the same period in 2019. Amid the restrictions associated with the pandemic, Antalya, Larnaca, Istanbul, Yerevan, Tashkent, Paphos, Monastir, Chisinau, Frankfurt am Main and Enfida became the leaders among the destinations.
During the peak days of August, Pulkovo Airport served over 74,000 passengers per day.
