Sheremetyevo airport executives are leaders in the Top 1000 Russian Managers rating

The executives of Sheremetyevo International Airport have taken leading positions in the 22nd annual rating of Top-1000 Russian Managers, prepared by the Association of Managers and the Kommersant Publishing House.

General Director of SIA JSC Mikhail Vasilenko holds the first place among top managers in the category "Transport" in the rating "Top managers. Top-250". Anna Zakharenkova, Public Relations Director of SIA JSC, is ranked first in the Top-100 rating of directors for public and corporate relations in the Multidisciplinary Holdings category.

Mikhail Vasilenko has been working as General Director of SIA JSC since 2005. During the period of his leadership, Sheremetyevo Airport has achieved unprecedented results for our country in the development of infrastructure, production activities and the quality of service for passengers and airlines. Today, Sheremetyevo is one of the Top 5 hub airports in Europe, retaining its leadership in the Moscow aviation hub in terms of the share of passenger and freight traffic, is the best airport in Europe in terms of the quality of passenger service and the most punctual airport in the world.

SIA JSC is consistently implementing the Long-term airport development program. In 2020, despite a significant reduction in production activities due to the pandemic and in the face of a sharp decrease in traffic volumes, the company continued to make strategic investments in infrastructure, which are designed to increase the capacity of Sheremetyevo to 110 million passengers per year in the future.

Anna Zakharenkova has been managing public relations at Sheremetyevo Airport for over 15 years. In 2020, as a result of the efficient work of the Public Relations Department of SIA JSC, Sheremetyevo Airport became the leader in the UIA information field in terms of quantitative and qualitative indicators, including the share of positive messages in the media.

In 2020, a set of unprecedented measures was implemented at Sheremetyevo Airport to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in the Russian Federation and protect the health of passengers and personnel. This year, in the context of the phased resumption of international air traffic, anti-epidemic measures continue to be implemented at the airport in full. 

In June this year, Sheremetyevo was recognized as the busiest airport in Europe for the first time in its history. According to ACI Europe, Sheremetyevo ranked second in terms of passenger traffic among European airports for seven months. According to the results of eight months of the year, Sheremetyevo was recognized as the most punctual airport in the world according to the rating of the British research company OAG.

At the end of 2020, Sheremetyevo, according to the results of the ASQ program of the Airports Council International (ACI), was recognized as the best in terms of service quality among the airports in Europe - for the ninth year in a row and for the fourth time in the category of the largest aviation hubs on the continent.
