Rossiya Airlines (Aeroflot Group) is one of the three largest Russian air carriers by number of aircraft operated in the fleet. The Airline's fleet has reached 100 aircraft.
The backbone of the Rossiya fleet is the Superjet 100, with 42 of them in the fleet. Today, Rossiya continues to strengthen its position in the ranking of the largest airlines by number of aircraft operated, as well as being the leader by number of Russian-made aircraft operated.
The Airline relies on the Russian equipment to operate. Domestic aircraft are the drivers of entire national industries. The addition of new Russian-made aircraft to the fleet allows Rossiya both to open new routes and expand its route network, as well as to increase the frequency of flights. Loading on many airlines reaches 100%.
The development plans approved by Rossiya assumes the increase of the carrier's fleet to 66 domestic Superjet 100 aircraft by the end of 2021, rising to 87 by the end of 2022. Next year, the airline plans to add the first of Russia's newest MS-21 jetliners to its fleet.
The air carrier is not abandoning the operation of foreign-made aircraft that fly regular and tourist flights on Russia's extensive route map. The majority of the foreign fleet is made up of Airbus 320 family aircraft. The airline is one of the world's top three Boeing 747s in its fleet. All aircraft in the Airline's fleet comply with the highest safety requirements and standards and provide passengers with the necessary level of comfort and reliability when travelling.
Rossiya concentrates its fleet at its base airports in Moscow (Sheremetyevo) and St Petersburg (Pulkovo). The total route network from Moscow is 40 destinations and 58 from St Petersburg. Rossiya's aircraft fly on 67 Russian routes and 32 international routes. On some routes, Rossiya is the sole carrier of the Aeroflot Group.
