Rossiya Airlines confirmed its status as one of the safest airlines in the world

Rossiya Airlines (Aeroflot Group) has confirmed its status as one of the safest airlines in the world. Experts of international Airline Ratings awarded Russia the highest score for safety: seven stars out of seven.

The world rating reflects analysis results of more than 400 airlines around the world. Carriers were assessed based on such criteria as flight safety, absence of air accidents, incidents and crashes, the age of the fleet, passenger feedback, services offered, as well as the level of service. A separate item of inspection was implementation and compliance with anti-coronavirus measures on flights.

In 2020, the airline implemented a set of anti-Coronavirus preventive measures on board aircraft, ensuring maximum passenger safety and following the Rospotrebnadzor Guidelines for preventing the spread of novel coronavirus infection on transport. In 2020, Rossiya Airlines became the first Russian air carrier to join the international Safe Travels program. In 2021, Rossiya began testing the IATA Travel Pass mobile app, becoming the first to introduce this technology into the domestic reservation system.

Flight safety is the main criterion of Rossiya Airlines activities. Rossiya Airlines has held an IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) certificate since 2007, annually confirming its status by successfully passing the IATA operational safety audit for compliance with requirements and recommended practices. In 2020, the German Jet Airliner Crash Data Evaluation Center (JACDEC) recognized Rossiya Airlines as the best Russian airline, ranking it 32nd in the global ranking of the safest airlines in the world.

Rossiya Airlines is part of Aeroflot Group. It is the largest Russian-made Superjet 100 and wide-body Boeing 747-400 aircraft operator. The Rossiya fleet also includes Airbus A320, Boeing 737, and Boeing 777 aircraft.
