The crews of the Su-24M front-line bombers of the separate mixed aviation regiment of the Northern Fleet air force and air defence formation practiced missile and bomb attacks on targets simulating ships, command posts, engineering fortifications and armored vehicles of the enemy on the coast of the Kola Peninsula (Murmansk region).
Using target designation data, the bombers launched high-precision air-to-ground missiles, practiced bombing, as well as firing unguided rockets at the target field of the Lumbovsky aviation range.
The flights were conducted during daylight hours. According to the objective control data, the bombing of ground targets was carried out with a given accuracy.
Also, as part of the pairs of aircraft, the pilots performed flight tasks for the flight crews.
The flights were conducted according to the combat training plan and were aimed at improving the professional skills of the pilots of the Northern Fleet when performing combat training tasks using combat weapons. Five Su-24M bombers were involved in the flights.
