Naval aviation arrives in St. Petersburg to participate in the Main Naval Parade

Naval aviation completed a flight from permanent airfields to operational airfields of the Western Military District in St. Petersburg, Leningrad, Tver regions and the Republic of Karelia to prepare for and participate in the Main Naval Parade.

Aircraft from formations and military units of the Aerospace Forces, Navy, Baltic, Northern, Black Sea, and Pacific fleets will take part in the large-scale celebration.

The parade aviation group will include MiG-31, Su-24, Su-25, Su-30SM, Su-33, MiG-29K, Su-27 aircraft, Be-200 and Be-12, Tu-142 amphibious aircraft, anti-submarine aircraft Il-38, transport Tu-154, Tu-134, An-26, as well as Mi-8, Ka-29 Ka-31 and Ka-52 helicopters.

It was held in the Senate Square area and was carried out in joint formation, as tactical groups according to classes of aircraft in accordance with the tasks to be solved.

At present, the crews have begun training flights as part of tactical groups in the airspace of airfields.
