Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker and Chief Executive Officer of Northern Capital Gateway LLC, part of VTB Capital Infrastructure Holding, Leonid Sergeev have signed the Memorandum of Understanding at St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. This Memorandum provides for tourism development between Saint Petersburg and Doha. It also provides for development of the business, related to air transportation of passengers, and strengthens cooperation on development and extension of the Pulkovo airport routes network.

The main objectives of the Memorandum are a recovery of Qatar Airways regular flights on the route Doha — Saint Petersburg — Doha within at least 2 IATA seasons and provision of overall support of Qatar Airways regular flights in the frame of the airport complex marketing program.
