Leonid Sergeev, CEO of Northern Capital Gateway LLC, Rostislav Chernyshev, CEO of Pulkovo Airport JSC, and Igor Chebunin, Deputy CEO for Logistics of Russian Post JSC signed a corresponding agreement at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The parties are going to build a new logistics terminal for Russian Post and related infrastructure near the Pulkovo airport in St. Petersburg. The terminal will operate more than 73 million international shipments per year, it is 35% more than is currently passing through the Pulkovo cargo terminal.
"The construction of a new postal terminal in Pulkovo is one of the points of implementation of the strategy to reduce delivery times in Russia to 2 days by 2025. Our own postal terminal will allow us to significantly speed up the processing of parcels and letters and reduce delivery times to recipients by almost one day. And fast delivery is one of our top priorities, "said Igor Chebunin, Deputy General Director for Logistics, Russian Post JSC.
