S7 Airlines has summarized their performance for April 2021. During the past month, the airline transported 1 348 856 passengers, thus practically returning to the statistics before the pandemic (1 362 397 passengers were transported in April 2019). At that, 1 276 195 passengers were using domestic flights in Russia, which is 25% more than during the same period in 2019.
Since the start of 2021, S7 Airlines has transported 4 913 651 passengers.
"As the data shows, domestic tourism still makes a large proportion of the flights. We even exceeded the pre-pandemic results on this indicator. Now we are approaching the start of the summer season and launching new southbound regional flights. The new flights by S7 Airlines include direct flights from Irkutsk to Krasnodar, which will fly twice a week," says Grigori Davydov, the Director of Strategy in S7 Group.
During the summer season, S7 Airlines will operate flights to 130 destinations. The airline has given priority to the flights to Crimea and Krasnodar Krai, the key destinations for family holidays. For the first time, direct flights by S7 Airlines to the Black Sea — to the cities of Simferopol, Anapa and Sochi — will be available from the cities of Lipetsk, Ivanovo, Pskov and Kurgan. The number of flights from Moscow to Gelendzhik will increase to three times a day, and the flights from Irkutsk to Sochi and Simferopol will operate practically two times more frequently than before.
