Vnukovo Airport began to work according to a summer schedule, which will continue to operate until October 30, 2021, inclusive.

In the spring-summer period, Vnukovo International Airport expects to serve about 100 thousand flights and carry 12 million passengers, which is two times more than in 2020. On domestic airlines, flights are planned to operate in 63 directions. The most dynamic growth in the number of regular flights is expected to be in Sochi, St. Petersburg, Makhachkala, Mineralnye Vody, Krasnodar, Kaliningrad, Anapa, Ufa, Surgut, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, and Gelendzhik. The leading carriers on the domestic line are Pobeda, UTair, Yakutia.

An intensive program of flights to Turkey is planned on international airlines, including seven destinations: Istanbul, Antalya, Bodrum, Dalaman, Gazipasa, Izmir, Ankara. Turkish Airlines significantly increased its traffic to Istanbul in 2021 through the use of wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft. At the beginning of the season, Turkish Airlines resumed flights from Ankara, operated by its subsidiary AnadoluJet, with a frequency of three back and forth flights per week. Up to four daily flights to Antalya are expected in the summer. Flight programs to Turkey are also planned for Pobeda, iFly, and Azur Air, which plans to start flights in a new direction, Izmir, from May 27.

Vnukovo Airport, in close cooperation with its foreign partners, is focused on the early restoration and further development of its network of international routes. Soon, passenger traffic to Germany, Venezuela, Syria, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan should be resumed with the transfer of one-time export flights carried out in these directions during the pandemic into a regular format and with a subsequent increase in the frequency of their implementation.

FlyDubai will start operating flights to Dubai from April 2. At the end of April, a significant event for the airport should be the opening of regular passenger traffic to the capital of Venezuela, Caracas, by the national air carrier Conviasa. Azur Air has plans to continue operating flights to the Republic of Maldives, Tanzania, and the Republic of Cuba, while UTair will also fly to Tanzania.

Besides, it is expected that the opening of resort destinations in Cyprus, Greece, Montenegro, and Sri Lanka for Russian tourists will provide a significant volume of regular and charter flights from Vnukovo airport to these countries in the spring and summer period.
