As part of the planned combat training activities, pilots of the Su-30SM multipurpose fighters and the Su-24 front-line bombers of the Baltic Fleet naval aviation performed training flights with practical bombing.
In the course of practicing combat training tasks, the aircraft crews inflicted high-precision bombing strikes on command posts, destroyed the manpower and military equipment of a mock enemy at the air range.
During the flights for training and combat use, the crews carried out aimed bombing at full-size targets imitating command posts, engineering fortifications, manpower and equipment of a mock enemy. The bombing was carried out at altitudes from 200 meters to 2 kilometers.
All practical actions of pilots were recorded by means of objective control, which are installed on combat aircraft, as well as on the ground in the area of combat use. Analysis of the data obtained by means of objective control showed absolute defeat of all targets.
In addition, the pilots practiced combat maneuvering with limiting parameters and techniques for suppressing air defence means of a mock enemy.
The exercise was of a planned nature and was aimed at improving the flying skills of the pilots of the naval aviation of the fleet while performing the assigned tasks.
