Two crews of long-range anti-submarine aircraft Tu-142 of the naval aviation of the Pacific Fleet performed a planned 10-hour flight over the Pacific Ocean. Working out the tasks, the pilots overcame about 8 thousand kilometers.
The crews practiced piloting the aircraft in conditions of undirected terrain and lack of radar control. In some sections of the flight, the Russian planes were accompanied by F-18 carrier-based fighters of the US Navy.
The flights of the Tu-142 naval aviation of the Pacific Fleet are carried out in strict accordance with the international rules for the use of airspace.
