Domodedovo became the second airport in Europe in terms of passenger traffic in Q1 2021

Moscow Domodedovo Airport took the second place in terms of passenger traffic among air hubs of Europe in Q1 2021. The data was published by Airports Council International Europe. Passenger traffic at Domodedovo amounted to almost 4.5 million people in this period.

The most popular destinations were Sochi, Simferopol, Saint Petersburg, Krasnodar and Novosibirsk. Passenger traffic in these destinations for 3 months exceeded 1.4 million air travelers, a 20% year-over-year rise.

This year Domodedovo Airport entered «Top 10 European airports in passenger traffic in 2020» ranking. The same year according to ACI’s Airport Service Quality the air hub was recognized the best airport in Europe with passenger traffic 25 - 40 Mpax.
