Su-34 fighters play the role of an air enemy during the EW exercise in the Sverdlovsk Region

The Su-34 multifunctional fighter-bombers of the mixed aviation division of the Central Military District played the role of an air enemy in the exercise of the electronic warfare (EW) units of the Central Military District, which ended in the Sverdlovsk Region.

During the exercise, the EW specialists marched into the areas where the training and combat missions were performed and camouflaged special equipment, then they practiced electronic cover for their own facilities and counteraction to the guidance systems of aircraft missiles, aerial reconnaissance and attack drones.

The role of reconnaissance and strike aviation, as well as other air targets, was performed by the multifunctional Su-34 fighter-bombers of the mixed regiment of the air division stationed in the Chelyabinsk region.

During the exercise, EW specialists practiced the detection of air targets, the classification and electronic suppression of their control channels for guidance and navigation systems, as well as masking field control posts.

In total, about 600 servicemen from the electronic warfare, reconnaissance and ground support units took part in the exercise. More than 150 units of military equipment were involved, including the Krasukha, Murmansk, Moskva, Zhitel, BMW electronic warfare systems and about 10 Su-34 aircraft.
