The production of Russian MC-21 aircraft, if necessary, can reach up to 100 units per year in future, said the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, TASS reports.
"At the initial stage, we must go over a period of three years, and this turns out to be the end of next year, these are the first four aircraft, then 2023 - about 10-15 vehicles, 2024 - we must reach 30 aircraft, from 2025 - 36 and increase up to 72 aircraft per year. This is what we have laid down in the project for the production of this aircraft. If there is a great need not only domestically, but also abroad for this aircraft, we are ready to reach the volume of up to 100 aircraft per year, "- he said.
Manturov added that at the end of next year, after the certificate of type for the aircraft is received, its first deliveries will begin. "Most likely, it will be Aeroflot, followed by Red Wings, and other Russian companies in the first place," the minister added.
