Russia’s Almaz-Antey defense manufacturer will demonstrate the Antey-4000 long-range air defense system at the IDEX 2021 international arms show that will run in the United Arab Emirates on February 21-25, the company’s press office reported on Friday.

"For the first time at a foreign exhibition, the company will present information materials on the Antey-400 long-range anti-aircraft missile system as a follow-up of the Antey range of products. The system has received new air target fighting capabilities: its potential has been expanded in terms of the range, altitude and speed of striking targets," the press office said in a statement.

High operational characteristics allow using the Antey-4000 for the air defense of vital administrative, industrial and military installations while the tracked chassis makes the system mobile even on rugged terrain and capable of accomplishing the tasks of defending areas and military formations in a theater of military operations, the statement says.

Almaz-Antey will demonstrate another new product at the IDEX 2021 arms show: the upgrade of the Strela surface-to-air missile system widely represented throughout the world to the Sosna level, the press office said.
