Crews of the Northern Fleet's Tu-142 long-range anti-submarine aircraft will practice refueling in the air

Pilots of a separate anti-submarine squadron of a separate mixed air regiment of the Northern Fleet on long-range anti-submarine Tu-142 aircraft will work out air refueling from an Il-78 tanker aircraft.

The training will be held in the Krasnodar Territory together with representatives of the naval aviation of the Pacific Fleet. Several Tu-142 pilots of the Nothern fleet will participate in the exercise.

Flights will be operated both during daylight hours and at night.

Refueling in the air is considered a complex element of flight training. It allows to increase the range of flight and the radius of combat use of aviation several times.
