Rossiya Airlines, which is a part of Aeroflot Group, is expanding the geography of names of Superjet 100 aircraft entering the fleet. The new airliners are named after cities, which history goes back in centuries — Murom, Torzhok, Uglich, Yelets and Zvenigorod have already started flights on the regional route network.
The aircraft have a two-class design to carry 87 passengers: 12 in business class and 75 in economy class. These are the most comfortable airliners in their class due to the increased diameter of the fuselage, which allows you to arrange passenger seats in economy class according to the 2+3 scheme and increase the volume of luggage shelves. The combination of range, capacity and comfort makes Superjet 100 the most suitable for regional routes.
Russia is rich in its heritage, unique traditions that have been formed for thousands of years. Superjet 100 aircraft, which are named after Russian cities with long history, are designed to carry an educational function — they tell passengers of Rossiya Airlines about our Fatherland, about the heroic past, cultural values, about golden-domed temples, wooden towers and the amazing beauty of Russian nature.

A single conceptual approach of assigning the names of Russian cities to Superjet 100 aircraft entering the fleet was approved at the end of 2020. This continues the tradition started in 2016, which not only distinguishes Rossiya from other air carriers, but also contributes to the development and promotion of the territories of our country, the disclosure of the tourist potential of Russia, preserves the historical memory, educates civil and patriotic values.
