S7 Airlines increased the number of flights in Russia by 15.3% in January

S7 Airlines summarized its performance results for January 2021. Over the past month, the airline carried 1,191,850 passengers, which is 12.9% less than in January 2020. 1,145,782 passengers took flights within Russia, which is 15.3% more than during the same period last year.

“The previous year has certainly forced us to reconsider our plans for passenger numbers in 2021. The January results match our current expectations. The domestic travel market continues to gradually recover due to the high season for active winter recreation, among other things. Travelers actively fly to Sochi, Mineralnye Vody, Novokuznetsk, and Kirovsk. This year, we plan to put more focus on the charter segment. In January, S7 Airlines launched Russia’s first online service for booking aircraft for private flights — S7 Select, ” said Grigory Davydov, Deputy General Director for Strategy S7 Group.

S7 Select allows you to calculate the cost and book an aircraft quickly and easily on s7.ru. The S7 Select service includes the upgraded Airbus A319 Extra Edition airliners, which can comfortably accommodate 24 people in business class, and 72 in economy class with increased seat pitch. The in-flight services on such flights are the same as on our regular S7 Airlines flights. As for personal wishes, they can be discussed with a representative of the airline. At the moment, travelers can choose a one-way or round-trip flight within Russia with departure from Moscow or arrival to Moscow, but the geographical extent of the service will be expanded in the future.

S7 Airlines has been continuing to expand the special international cargo and passenger charter flights program. Currently, we sell tickets for flights from Moscow to France (Paris and Nice), Spain (Alicante, Barcelona, Malaga), Italy (Verona, Rome, Milan, Pisa, Bari), Germany (Dusseldorf, Munich, Berlin), Austria (Vienna), Bulgaria (Burgas), and Cyprus (Larnaca, Paphos). In addition, we perform flights to Chisinau from Rostov-on-Don, to Osh and Bishkek from Samara, Ufa, and Krasnoyarsk. Only the categories of passengers who are allowed to travel by air under the current restrictions are admitted on board on these flights.
