Rossiya Airlines (Aeroflot Group) has successfully passed the regular operational safety audit of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and confirmed its compliance with the IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) international standards.

The IOSA audit was conducted from June 28 to July 2, 2021. The new certificate of Rossiya Airlines is valid until November 23, 2023.

The audit was conducted for compliance with the requirements and recommended practices included in the new edition of the IOSA Standards Manual. The peculiarities of this year audit were the epidemiological situation, which entailed corresponding restrictions and additional measures, as well as the commissioning of domestically produced Superjet 100 aircraft, which were significant changes in the airlines' activities.

The IOSA standards include about 1000 requirements and recommendations aimed at improving performance in terms of aviation safety, security and quality management. Compliance with these standards requires the airlines to carefully monitor not only all stages of internal work, but also control over the activities of product/service vendors – training centers, service companies, agents, etc. The IOSA audit is being conducted every two years.

The renewal of the IATA membership and obtaining the IOSA certificate allows the company to open up new prospects in the international market and provides opportunities for the successful development of cooperation with the global aviation community. The renewal of the IOSA certificate confirms the application of advanced standards by the airlines in the field of flight safety management, as well as proves its international status of a safe carrier.

Rossiya Airlines was one of the first in Russia to enter the register of operators of the IOSA international aviation operational safety standards. The company obtained its first certificate in 2007.
