The Analytical Credit Rating Agency (ACRA) has assigned the highest possible credit rating AAA(RU) to Roscosmos State Corporation, the outlook is stable, which corresponds to the sovereign level.
The rating from ACRA is calculated according to the national scale for the Russian Federation, based on the methodology of analysis of rated entities related to the state or a group, as well as the basic concepts used by the Agency in its activities. ‘Stable’ outlook implies that the rating will remain unchanged with the highest probability over the next 12-18 months.
Roscosmos State Corporation credit rating is ensured by a very high assessment of its systemic importance to the state. ACRA notes the exclusivity of functions implemented by Roscosmos enterprises under contracts with foreign customers and its monopolistic position on the Russian market. All this, according to the Agency, shows the key role of the state corporation on the markets that are strategically important for the state.
‘Roscosmos State Corporation is an advanced high-tech entity of the Russian economy, providing a high contribution to the machine-building industry and scientific and technical development. The credit rating assigned by the Agency at the highest possible sovereign level confirms the recognition of the strategic importance of the rocket and space industry, stable financial position and efficiency of the State Corporation's management,’ Roscosmos First Deputy Director General for Economics and Finance Maxim Ovchinnikov commented on the rating assignment.
