The Northern Capital Gateway company, which manages Pulkovo Airport, reports on the results of production activities for 10 months of 2021.
From January 1 to October 31, 2021, Pulkovo Airport served 15.3 million passengers, which is 9% less than in the same period in 2019.
At the same time, 13.3 million passengers were served on domestic flights (+ 30% over the same period in 2019). The most popular destinations in Russia during this period were Moscow, Sochi, Kaliningrad, Simferopol, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Arkhangelsk, Kazan and Murmansk.
Pulkovo airport served 2 million passengers on international routes, which is -70% compared to the same period in 2019. Amid the restrictions associated with the pandemic, Antalya, Istanbul, Larnaca, Yerevan, Tashkent, Paphos, Frankfurt am Main, Osh, Chisinau and Dalaman have become leaders among the destinations since the beginning of the year.
Russia, Pobeda, Smartavia, Aeroflot and S7 Airlines became the leaders among Russian airlines in terms of the volume of traffic over the indicated period. In total, they served 11.1 million passengers at Pulkovo.
Among foreign airlines, Turkish Airlines, Uzbekistan Airways, Lufthansa, KLM and Finnair demonstrated the largest volume of traffic. These carriers carried 308 thousand passengers through Pulkovo.
