Aeroflot retains title as Europe’s Leading Airline Brand at the World Travel Awards 2021

Aeroflot has again been recognized as Europe’s Leading Airline Brand at the European stage of the prestigious World Travel Awards 2021. The award ceremony took place in the Russian pavilion at the Dubai Expo 2020 (UAE).

Two Russian cities won prizes at the World Travel Awards 2021. Moscow was named Europe’s Leading City Destination, and Saint-Petersburg was recognized as Europe’s Leading City Break Destination.

The World Travel Awards were established in 1993 in the UK. Every year they are awarded to leading names in the global travel, hospitality and civil aviation industry. Winners are decided by an online vote that attracts hundreds of thousands of travel professionals and consumers.

This year awards in other categories were given to industry leaders including Lufthansa, British Airways, Air France, TAP Air Portugal, Virgin Atlantic Airways.

Aeroflot traditionally receives high praise from both the professional community and travellers. The carrier was recently named Best Airline in Eastern Europe for ninth time at the 2021 Skytrax World Airline Awards.
