Libya is interested in Russian aircraft, including SSJ 100 and MC-21 passenger jets and helicopters, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade says on Friday after the meeting between Minister Denis Manturov and Deputy Chairman of the Libya’s Government of National Accord Ahmed Maiteeq. This reported by TASS.

"The Libyan side confirmed interest in Russian aircraft, including SSJ 100 and MC-21 passenger airplanes, and multirole civilian helicopters," the Ministry reports.

The parties also agreed to work out joint projects in such current and socially significant areas as healthcare and pharmaceuticals.

"We see the vast potential for diversification of the trade nomenclature and expansion of its volumes on account of implementing joint projects in the industrial cooperation sphere across a broad range of directions," Minister Denis Manturov is quoted as saying.

Prospects for participation of Russian companies in rehabilitation of industrial and energy assets, agriculture, transport and social infrastructure of Libya were reviewed during the meeting, the Ministry says.

The Russian-Libyan trade turnover fell by 20% according to results of 11 months of 2020 and totaled about $112 mln. Russian export of agricultural goods and goods accounts for the bulk of deliveries, about 80%.
