Rossiya Airlines and Konstantin Khabensky Charity Fund announce their partnership

The subject of the cooperation agreement with Rossiya is the transportation of vital medicines to the wards of the Foundation within the framework of the airline's extensive route network.

Every year, hundreds of children and their parents across the country face a complex diagnosis – «brain tumor». Treatment of the disease can last for many months and years, and the most important role in the lives of young patients, who undergo treatment, is played by timely medication. That is why transport support – the transport of medicines – is one of the most important tasks in providing care to patients.

A key aspect in the interaction between the airline and the Fund is the need for timely and as fast as possible transportation of medicines, as well as careful monitoring of each cargo. Rossiya is ready to transport the necessary medicines on regular flights within 24 hours from the moment of contacting the carrier.

The airline’s route network, which covers the entire country, also plays an important role. Rossiya operates hundreds of flights to dozens of destinations every day. At the initial stage of cooperation, it is planned to transport medicines only to the cities of the Far East. Domestic flights to the Far Eastern destinations are the longest. At the same time, Rossiya Airlines, along with Aeroflot, are the only carriers that operate them on a regular basis under the flat -fare programme in order to increase transport accessibility of the region.

Rossiya Airlines supports and actively develops corporate volunteer programmes, so the agreement also include implementation of socially significant non-commercial projects. Such an open formulation will allow Rossiya and the Foundation to find new formats of interaction in the future, with the main goal of saving children's lives.

Since April 2008, Konstantin Khabensky Charity Fund has been doing everything possible to ensure that children and young adults with brain tumors receive all the necessary assistance on time and return to a full life as soon as possible. Over 12 years of the Foundation's work, targeted assistance has been provided to more than 2800 children, more than 8000 families faced with the disease have received timely psychological support. The Fund has made more than 75 deliveries of high-precision equipment and consumables to 10 medical institutions in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. More than 6000 doctors participated in various educational projects with the support of the Foundation.
