Tactical flight exercise of transport aviation began in five regions of Russia

In the Samara, Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan and Kemerovo regions, a tactical flight exercise with the crews of a separate transport mixed aviation regiment of the Central Military District (CMD) has began.

During the exercise, the crews of An-26, An-12, and Tu-134 transport aircraft will work out the tasks of parachuting search and rescue and assault groups in the Chelyabinsk region, and transporting cargo and personnel in the Kemerovo region. The crews of Mi-8AMTSh "Terminator" transport and combat helicopters will carry out combat launches of unguided S-8 aircraft missiles at the Kurgan region training ground, launch an rescue groups from a height of 30 meters with the help of launching roller devices in the Chelyabinsk region and work out the transfer of tactical troops in the Samara region.

The final stage of the tactical flight exercise will be the landing of an An-26 aircraft on an unprepared unpaved runway in the Sverdlovsk region.

The combat training event involves 10 An-26, An-12, Tu-134 and Mi-8AMTSh helicopters, eight airfields and landing pads, about 150 military personnel from the flight, engineering and technical personnel, the parachute group, as well as the flight support and control group.
