As part of a two-way brigade tactical exercise, more than 10 Mi-8AMTSh "Terminator" helicopters of the 4th air force and air defense army of the Southern Military District (SMD) provided thelanding of a tactical airborne assault of a motorized rifle formation during a practical drawing of troops at the Kapustin Yar training ground in the Astrakhan region.

Landing of personnel was carried out by assault from the position of hovering helicopters above the ground using rope and other special means. The tactical landing was covered by Mi-28N "Night hunter" attack helicopters.

The two-way brigade tactical exercise involves up to 4,000 military personnel and involves more than 1,500 units of military equipment, including about 20 aircraft and more than 60 helicopters.
