Employees of Rossiya Airlines are assigned the title of Honoured Pilots of the Russian Federation

According to the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, employees of Rossiya,Pavel Goncharuk and Valery Tarakanov, are assigned titles of Honored Pilots of the Russian Federation.

On August 21, the President of the Russian Federation signed a decree on assigning citizens with state awards. Two Rossiya’s employees: P.A. Goncharuk, Head of the Flight Safety Departmen of the airline, and V.V. Tarakanov, Commander of the aviation squadron, are among the awardees. They are assigned the honorary title «Honored Pilot of the Russian Federation» with the wording «for merits in the development of aviation technology, high professional skills and long-term conscientious work».

Pavel Aleksandrovich Goncharuk started his career in civil aviation in 1979. On international airlines, Pavel Alexandrovich performed responsible flight tasks in difficult geographical and climatic conditions in various regions of the world. He participated in the development and commissioning of new types of foreign-made aircraft in the country-Airbus-310/320 and Boeing 747-400. His total accident-free flight time during his work in the field of aviation is more than 17000 hours, including more than 13000 hours as a commander on various types of aircraft and more than 5000 hours as an instructor pilot.

Currently, Pavel Goncharuk is the Head of the Flight Safety Department at Rossiya Airlines, who has a valid flight certificate and the qualification of a pilot-instructor-examiner. Pavel Alexandrovich also continues to pass on experience to graduates of flight training institutions in the process of flight training and qualification checks on aircraft.

Valery Valeryevich Tarakanov is the first class pilot of civil aviation, who has mastered such types of aircraft as An-24, An-26, Il-114, Tu-154, and Airbus-319/320/321 during his flight work with an accident-free flight of 11500 hours. Valery Valeryevich, having more than 26 years of flight experience, has gained extensive experience in flying in various climatic zones of Russia and abroad, including in the Far North. Since the first independent flights, he has continuously improved his professional level, showing excellent piloting techniques and professional training.

Valery Valeryevich has repeatedly shown genuine courage and iron endurance in critical situations on board. Thanks to the high level of professionalism of Valery Tarakanov, in case of any emergencies on flights under his control, the flight invariably ended in one scenario – a safe and secure landing.

The personnel of the airline is proud of its colleagues. Their skills, love for their work and extremely responsible attitude to the work of the Russian pilots deserve sincere respect and are rightfully assigned such high awards.
