Russia and Uzbekistan discuss establishment of low cost airline for passenger and cargo traffic

Russia and Uzbekistan have discussed establishing a joint low-cost airline for passenger and cargo traffic, the Russian Transport Ministry said in a statement on Monday after a meeting of an intergovernmental commission for transport. This reported by PRIME.

"The sides have considered the topical issues of bilateral cooperation and paid special attention to cooperation in the sphere of air transportation. In particular, preparation for signing of an agreement between the Federal Air Transport Agency and the Civil Aviation Agency on cooperation in the flight worthiness was discussed," the ministry said.

"Besides, the possibility of raising the number of flights between the two countries and creation of a Russian–Uzbek low cost airline to carry passengers and cargo were discussed."
