Rocket of Victory with the Progress MS-14 cargo spacecraft successfully launched from Baikonur

According to the International Space Station flight program, the Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket with the Progress MS-14 cargo spacecraft successfully launched on April 25, 2020 at 01:51:41 UTC from launchpad No. 31 of the Baikonur Cosmodrome. The telemetry data showed nominal separation of the spacecraft from the third stage of the carrier rocket in 8 minutes 48 seconds after liftoff.

The Soyuz-2.1a named the Rocket of Victory has successfully injected the Russian spacecraft into the calculated orbit, the Chief Operation Group of the Russian ISS segment flight control in Korolev took over the flight control.

The Progress MS-14 will dock to the Zvezda module of the Russian ISS segment at 05:12 UTC after a ‘superfast’ two-orbit flight of about three hours long. The berthing is to be performed automatically supervised by the specialists of TsNIIMash Mission Control Center (part of Roscosmos), as well as Russian ISS-63 mission crewmembers – Roscosmos cosmonauts Anatoly Ivanishin and Ivan Vagner. 

The spacecraft will deliver over two tons of various cargo: 650 kilograms of fuel and 46 kilograms of compressed gasses. The cargo bay carries 1.35 tons of loads including food supplies, medicines, sanitary hygienic materials for the crew as well as hardware for ISS onboard systems, equipment for scientific experiments and water.
