Final prelaunch operations are underway at the Baikonur Cosmodrome to prepare the Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket with the Progress MS-14 cargo spacecraft. According to the State Commission decision, on April 22, 2020 the carrier rocket was rolled out of the integration facility and installed on the site No. 31 launchpad.
After verticalization and service structures connection Roscosmos enterprises’ specialists started working according to the launch day one schedule. Today the spacecraft, carrier rocket, launching complex and ground equipment undergo autonomous tests with the data received being analyzed.
On April 25, 2020, the State Commission meeting will take place to clear the fueling of the carrier rocket for the launch. The liftoff is scheduled for April 25, 2020 at 01:51 UTC, the flight to the International Space Station will go according to the so-called ‘superfast’ two-orbit scheme. The docking to the Zvezda module of the Russian ISS segment is to occur at 05:12 UTC +/- 3 minutes.
The cargo spacecraft will deliver over two tons of various cargo to the ISS: 650 kilograms of fuel in the refueling systems, as well as 46 kilograms of compressed gases. The cargo bay carries 1.35 tons of cargo including food containers, medicines, sanitary-hygienic materials for the crew, as well as hardware for the ISS onboard systems, equipment for experiments and water in the Rodnik system tanks.
