Squadron of the latest Su-25SM3 assault aircraft in the Krasnodar Territory complete training launches of unguided missiles

During the flight tactical exercise, pilots of the latest Su-25SM3 assault aircraft of the Southern Military District, based in the Krasnodar Territory, practiced striking at the airfields of a mock enemy as part of a unit and squadron using guided missiles in the daytime and at night. This reported by Russian Ministry of Defence press-service.

During tactical missions, pilots trained to covertly overwhelm air defence of a mock enemy in a steppe and mountain-wooded area, as well as to conduct a sudden attack on targets.

Aircraft approached targets at low altitudes outside air defence detection zone by anti-aircraft maneuvering.

When defeating ground objects, pilots simulated the use of the full range of aviation weapons depending on the nature of the target. Besides, the aircraft fired guided and non-guided missiles at targets placed in line of sight and at specified coordinates.

The flights were carried out as part of the planned final check for the winter training period. In total, 12 aircraft of the latest modification were involved.
