S-300 regiment of the Northern Fleet conducted live-fire drills in Astrakhan region

The combat crews of S-300 systems of the Northern Fleet anti-aircraft missile regiment carried out combat firing on target missiles during tactical exercises at the Ashuluk training ground in the Astrakhan region. This reported by Russian Defence Ministry press-service.

Missile units of the S-300 systems practiced a full range of actions from detecting air targets to using weapons on them. The fired missile-targets operated at different heights, speeds and directions, simulating the means of an air attack of the enemy from various types of aircraft to cruise missiles.

All air targets were successfully hit.

At the Ashuluk training ground, servicemen of the anti-aircraft missile regiment of the Northern Fleet fulfilled combat training tasks. Anti-aircraft missile systems were deployed from the Arctic to the Astrakhan region and will return back after the exercise.
