Russian national flagship carrier Aeroflot has suspended sale of tickets for international flights until August amid the coronavirus pandemic, according to the booking system data on the company’s website. This reported by PRIME.

For instance, tickets for flights from Moscow to New York, Madrid, Paris, Rome, and Tokyo are available no earlier than August 1.

Aeroflot said it suspended the sale of tickets until certainty on the resumption of flights abroad and asked to not look for forecasts of the situation in this decision.

“We made the decision to suspend sales until certainty with the resumption of international air traffic appears. This is a technical solution, it does not mean the actual cancellation of flights. We made it not to create an additional burden on our contact center and sales offices in relations with new rebooking cycles. We’d like to note that one shouldn’t look for forecasts for the resumption of international flights in this decision,” press secretary Yulya Spivakova said.

Russia ceased regular and charter air travel with other countries in late March, except for evacuation, cargo, humanitarian and some other flights.
