S7 Airlines, a member of the oneworld® global aviation alliance, has won the Skyway Service Award in three categories. Passengers recognised S7 Airlines online services, S7 Priority loyalty program, and economy class airline service on domestic airlines as the best.
The industry-wide Skyway Service Award is awarded annually to Russian and foreign airlines for the best service and customer programs. The winners of the award are chosen by passengers - consumers of airline services.
S7 Priority, recognised by travellers as the best among loyalty programs, was significantly updated in 2019. “We always carefully listen to feedback from program participants, often the experience of travellers becomes a driver for positive changes. Last year, for the convenience of customers, we brought mile rates in line with commercial, basic and flexible ones. Now, when issuing a ticket for miles, a passenger can choose only those services that he or she plans to use. S7 Priority members can independently exchange and return tickets purchased for miles on the airline’s website, and holders of the four highest statuses can use a milestone overdraft. And, perhaps, the most long-awaited update is Miles & Cash, a way to pay for commercial flights, when any part of the cost can be paid with miles,”- said Natalya Nikolaeva, director of development of the loyalty program S7 Priority.
S7 Airlines was recognised as the best airline in the “Economy Class, Domestic Regular Flights” category. In 2019, more than 13 million passengers took advantage of S7 Airlines flights across Russia, 13% more than in the previous year. The airline continues to develop a network of interregional destinations by joining the cities of Siberia and Ural to the hub in Tolmachevo, and significantly enhances its presence in the Far East.
The leadership of S7 Airlines in introducing modern technologies was confirmed by the award in the nomination “Best Online Services for Customers”. In 2019, S7 Airlines became the first Russian airline to implement the possibility of online purchasing airline tickets at subsidised fares to Russian cities from Moscow, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk and Vladivostok [1]. In addition, S7 Airlines passengers traveling with pets can arrange their transportation online at the time of purchase.
At the end of the year, gift certificates for flights with a face value of 500 to 10,000 rubles appeared among S7 Airlines offers. They can be used when choosing tickets on the s7.ru website, paying for tickets together with taxes and fees or additional services in flight.
The Skyway Service Award was established by the AVIA.RU webportal with the support of the Federal Air Transport Agency.
