Pilots of the deck helicopters of the Baltic Fleet trained to destroy sea targets during the exercises

Pilots of the deck transport-combat and anti-submarine helicopters Ka-29 and Ka-27 of the Baltic Sea Fleet performed practical bombing, missile, torpedo and artillery firing in the Navy's sea ranges as part of training flights.

During training activities, helicopter crews practiced striking unguided aircraft missiles, torpedoes, and air bombs at sea targets that mimic ships, submarines, and small-size high-speed targets of a mock enemy. Also, the crews of Ka-29 helicopters performed artillery fire on naval ship shields.

During performance of the combat task the helicopter pilots practiced striking both single and in pairs.

Implementation of practical shooting helped to increase the level of training of military pilots when performing tasks for the purpose, development and improvement of tactics and methods of naval aviation use.
