Crews of multi-functional Su-34 fighter-bombers of the Central Military District air regiment (CMD) worked out flights in difficult weather conditions during an exercise in the Chelyabinsk region. This reported by Russian Ministry of Defence press-service.
Military pilots performed instrument piloting in conditions of 9-point cloud cover, the combat tasks were carried out both during the day and at night.
In the absence of visual cues, the pilots operated the aircraft, focusing solely on the reading of on-Board instruments, focusing on the indications of the artificial horizon to determine the angle of inclination of an aircraft variometer, reflecting the rate of altitude change.
The Su-34 crews performed unique maneuvers in the sky over the Urals. At a speed of about 1.9 thousand kilometers per hour and at an altitude of 6 thousand meters, the pilots performed dives, combat turns and "barrels".
