Rossiya is completely ready to operate flights on Superjet 100. Rosaviatsia has added the new type of aircraft to the operator’s certificate of the airline.

Nizhny Novgorod and Belgorod will be the first destinations in Rossiya’s route network, which will begin to operate flights on Superjet 100.

Four flights are scheduled to Nizhny Novgorod on January 1. Flights from Moscow are scheduled at 9:30, 13:10, 18:15 and 23:35. Departure of the aircraft to Belgorod from Sheremetyevo International Airport is scheduled at 16:30, arrival - at 18:05. Return flight from Belgorod is scheduled at 19:00, arrival in Sheremetyevo – at 20:50.

In January, Superjet 100 aircraft will operate flights from Moscow to Nizhnekamsk - from January 11, Magnitogorsk and Chelyabinsk - from January 13. In the future, as the airline's fleet expands, the number of destinations operated with Superjet 100 will increase.

The start of operation of Superjet 100 is taking place as part of the implementation of the updated strategy of Aeroflot Group, according to which Rossiya will focus on the implementation of mainline and regional air transportation within the country. The main task is to provide convenient connections both with its own flights and with Aeroflot flights at base Sheremetyevo International Airport.

«Sheremetyevo International Airport with its extensive route network is becoming as important for Rossiya as Saint Petersburg's Pulkovo International Airport, where the main part of the airline's fleet is concentrated. Replenishment of the fleet will increase the number of flights from regions to Moscow, and the high frequency of flights, in turn, will provide the most convenient connections with flights both to significant domestic destinations and to international flights of the parent airline Aeroflot», said Sergey Alexandrovsky, the CEO of Rossiya Airlines.

According to the new strategy, Rossiya will become the leading operator of domestic aircraft. By the end of 2021, the airline will have 66 Superjet 100 in its fleet. At the same time, foreign aircraft still continue operate regular and tourist flights. Now the fleet of Rossiya in addition to Superjet 100 consists of foreign-made liners Airbus A320, Boeing 737, Boeing 777 and Boeing 747.
