At December 18, 2020 at 12:26:26 UTC, the launching teams of Roscosmos subsidiaries launched the Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket with the Fregat upper stage and 36 new OneWeb spacecraft. According to telemetry data, the start and separation of the upper stage from the third stage of the rocket were nominal.

After the successful separation of the payload, the Fregat upper stage continued to inject the spacecraft into the assigned orbit. Over the next 3,5 hours, the OneWeb satellites will sequentially separate (in groups of four satellites) from the booster in accordance with the flight sequence.
