The Board of Directors of Center for Ground-Based Space Infrastructure Facilities Operation (TsENKI, part of Roscosmos) decided to relieve the company’s Director General Andrey Okhlopkov from his position as Director General starting from November 27, 2020. This reported by Roscomos.
Andrey Okhlopkov has been the head of TsENKI since June 2018. Ruslan Mukhamedzhanov became TsENKI interim Director General.
Ruslan Dzhemalovich Mukhamedzhanov was born in Batumi on September 16, 1961. Since 2000 he has been working at TsENKI. Since 2013, he was the director of Barmin Scientific Research Institute of Launch Complexes, a TsENKI branch.
The Center for Ground-Based Space Infrastructure Facilities Operation is one of the largest enterprises in Russia’s rocket and space industry, which specializes in the creation of ground-based space infrastructure and manages Russian cosmodromes. TsENKI was founded on November 10, 1994 by the order of the Russian Space Agency Director General. Today TsENKI includes 8 branches, employing over 12 thousand employees.
