IL-38 aircraft crews of the Pacific Fleet worked out a group search for a submarine of a mock enemy

In Kamchatka, the crews of Il-38 aircraft of the anti-submarine squadron of the troops and forces in the north-east of Russia worked out tasks in the near zone of responsibility of the Pacific Fleet.

During the flight task, a group of aircraft consisting of three Il-38s  improved tactical techniques for group search and tracking of submarines of a mock enemy with the integrated use of radar and sonar equipment over the Pacific ocean.

In addition, anti-submarine aviation pilots honed their piloting in tight formation and the co-ordination of air-crews.

The main goal of conducting training flights was to improve the coherence of pilots in groups when performing tasks for their intended purpose.
