S7 Airlines is celebrating its 10th anniversary in the oneworld international alliance

S7 Airlines is celebrating the tenth anniversary of joining the oneworld® global aviation alliance. Over the ten years, more than two million passengers1 have flown on joint tickets that combine an S7 Airlines flight with a flight operated by a partner airline from the oneworld alliance. Every year, the alliance airlines carry more than 535 million travelers, generating a transfer flow of eight million passengers.

S7 Priority program members are best positioned to fully enjoy the benefits offered by the alliance: miles can be accumulated and spent with passengers' favorite oneworld airlines. Premium status holders can take advantage of the alliance companies' business lounges at airports around the world and get other benefits from partners. S7 Priority Silver status corresponds to the oneworld Ruby status, Gold corresponds to Sapphire, and Platinum corresponds to Emerald.

The carrier’s total air fleet includes more than 3,300 aircraft. In 2020, S7 Airlines lent its support to its partners' collective aim of achieving zero CO2 emissions by 2050. Every world airline is implementing its own program aimed at reducing emissions.

A key component of S7 Airlines' approach is modernizing the air fleet with new generation aircraft. Airbus A320neo and Airbus A321neo family aircraft are more efficient in operation than those of the previous generation. They have a greater flight range but consume up to 20% less fuel. These aircraft produce a minimum amount of noise: their external noise level is 19 dB lower than that set by the ICAO requirements (Chapter 4), and the noise footprint area during takeoff is smaller by 50%. Currently, the share of new generation aircraft in the S7 Airlines fleet exceeds 25%.

At the same time, S7 Airlines continues the implementation of the We Are Siberia project. The airline is contributing to reforestation of areas burned down during the 2019 wildfires, gradually getting closer to its goal of planting one million trees.

Today, S7 Airlines’s alliance partners are the world’s leading airlines: American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Royal Air Maroc, Royal Jordanian, and SriLankan Airlines. The oneworld route network includes more than 1,000 destinations in 170 countries around the world.
