S7 Airlines has increased the number of seats in the business class and seat pitch in the economy class on two planes

The modernized airliners — Airbus A319 Extra Edition — will be used to meet the needs of corporate clients, as well as on regular S7 Airlines flights popular among business class passengers.

S7 Airlines has designed the configuration of two Airbus A319 aircraft which can carry 96 passengers. The business class can comfortably accommodate 24 people, and the economy class has room for 72 passengers. At the same time, the economy class cabin is distinguished by increased seat pitch; it’s 34 inches (four inches more than the standard one).

“We observe the high interest in special transportation from the corporate sector. Previously, we would have to take a plane out of the regular schedule for this and it would often entail additional costs. The modernized Airbus A319 aircraft will allow us to be more flexible when working with clients; and the unique cabin configuration will ensure a high level of comfort during the flight, ” says Grigory Davydov, Deputy General Director for Strategy in the S7 Group.

The wide geography of flights and branch office network of S7 Airlines will allow it to quickly process customer requests and perform transportation with a commendable service level. Airliners will start making regular flights to destinations that are in high demand from passengers who prefer business class.

In early November, the first Airbus A319 Extra Edition already accomplished flights from Moscow to Simferopol, as well as a number of flights at customer requests. The second aircraft is scheduled to begin flights in the second half of this month.

Currently, S7 Airlines has 103 aircraft from the world’s leading manufacturers: Airbus, including the new generation airliners of the Airbus A320neo family, Boeing, and Embraer. In November 2020 and January 2021, the airline expects the delivery of the first two cargo aircraft — the Boeing 737-800BCF.
