Rossiya Airlines has formed the fourth flight squadron as part of the upcoming introduction of domestic aircraft to the carrier's fleet.
The transfer of pilots from the parent airline, which successfully operates Sukhoi Superjet, to the flight squadron №4 created in Rossiya started in September. Currently, the flight group is partially equipped with command and control personnel and 7 crews. By the end of this year, the number of pilots in the squadron will be significantly increased.
Pilots have already passed medical examination, professional tests and are ready to start operating flights.
Replenishment of the airline's flight crew is carried out as part of the implementation of the updated strategy of Aeroflot Group in terms of fleet transformation, in accordance with which a large-scale expansion of Rossiya’s fleet, mainly with domestic aircraft, is planned. Thus, by the end of 2020, the carrier can start operating up to 10 Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft, which will be based in Sheremetyevo.
