In St. Petersburg, military personnel of the separate transport mixed aviation regiment of the Leningrad air force and air defense formation of the Western Military District took part in a tactical flight exercise with the use of aviation weapons.

During the event, the crews of An-12 and An-26 transport aircraft performed flights along a given route during the day and at night at medium and low altitudes, and worked out tasks for transporting personnel, weapons and materiel to operational airfields.

The crews of multi-purpose Mi-8 helicopters of various modifications practiced the use of aircraft armament at the aviation training ground in the Leningrad region. P50-T training bombs were used as aircraft armament.

More than 10 crews of transport aviation of the formation, more than 70 specialists of engineering and technical staff were involved in the exercise.
