Rossiya, one of the largest air carriers of the country, and Animaccord animation studios present passengers new adventures of Masha and the Bear on board the liners of the airline
Rossiya Airlines completed a licensing deal with Animaccord, the copyright holder of the popular Russian animated series Masha and the Bear. Within the framework of cooperation, it is planned to produce a series of animated videos with the characters of the cartoon, purchase rights to use their images in the advertising and marketing activities of the airline, as well as the possibility of producing co-branded products.
As part of the partnership, the animation studio will produce a series of thematic videos. One of them will interactively tell about the possibility of air transportation from Russian million-plus cities to Europe via Saint Petersburg and will be launched already on New Year's Eve. The second video will be aimed at supporting the airline’s services on the longest routes, including Far Eastern flights.
The partners also prepared a New Year mini-show from Masha and the Bear for passengers of the Saint Petersburg – Milan flight. The show was a surprise for all passengers on the morning of December 30th. During the flight, the main character of the cartoon, Masha, suddenly appeared in the cabin. In her usual immediate manner, she talked with the passengers of the flight, after which, together with the Bear and the crew, she greeted everyone on the upcoming holidays and presented gifts.
New Year's surprise is a joint initiative of the airline and Animaccord. Since December 30, the video is available on the official YouTube channel of the animated series «Masha and the Bear», as well as on other media platforms.
In 2020, Animaccord will also produce a short animated episode in support of one of the main priorities of Rossiya – the safety of passengers on board the aircraft, where the main characters, Masha and the Bear in their unique entertaining manner, will demonstrate safety rules during the flight.
Moreover, according to the terms of the deal, the airline acquired the rights to produce a line of co-branded products with Masha and the Bear, as well as the right to develop souvenir products with the characters of the cartoon, which will be distributed to passengers on board of Rossiya’s liners from the second half of 2020.
The series of animated videos will be supported by wide media distribution - the content will be posted on the official Russian-language YouTube channel of the «Masha and the Bear» cartoon, in the streaming entertainment system on board, and will also be shown at airports and other venues.
