K-52 and Mi28N helicopters provide air support to motorized rifle units of Southern MD during exercise

As part of a large-scale joint command post exercise, during the practical stages of the troops at the Opuk training ground in Crimea, Ka-52 Alligator and Mi-28N Night Hunters reconnaissance and attack helicopters provided air support to the actions of motorized rifle units of the Black Sea Fleet.

According to the plan of the practical stage, the detected mock gangs were blocked by forces of motorized rifle units of the army corps and eliminated with the support of attack helicopters.

From August 26 to 31, under the command of the Commander of the Southern Military District troops,  Colonel-General Alexander Dvornikov, a large-scale bilateral command post exercise with the combined arms armies of the Southern Military District is held.

About 8.2 thousand military personnel take part in the tactical episodes, more than 2.5 thousand units of military equipment are involved, including about 30 aircraft and more than 60 helicopters. About 30 UAV crews are involved in conducting air reconnaissance and video recording of the practical actions of the troops.
